Hudson, Texas (KETK) — Hudson detectives and Child Protective Services are investigating injuries to a two-month-old girl Tuesday.
At 2:30 p.m, Lufkin officers responded to a local hospital after they were contacted by health officials about a child with injuries. Once police arrived, it was determined the incident had occurred in the Hudson city limits and the case was turned over to their police department.
When Hudson authorities took control of the situation, it was determined the child was suffering from a small amount of brain bleeding. According to CPS spokeswoman Shari Pulliam, their organization was then informed of the injured infant.
The baby was transferred to a Houston hospital for treatment, where she is still recovering. Upon the infant's release, CPS will take custody of the girl.
