Crime Stoppers of Lufkin is seeking the help of the public in locating Sheila Ann Morton, 33, of Huntington and bringing to close the nearly-month-long mystery of her disappearance.

Mid-afternoon Monday, June 2, 2014, Morton left her 3-year-old son with the child’s father at a residence in Allen Town. Reportedly, Morton was intoxicated and left behind her car, her purse and her keys; it appears that she took only her cell phone and her wallet.

Morton is 4'11' tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds. Her eyes and her natural hair color are brown but her family reported that just before disappearing she changed her hair color to a dark red or maroon color. She has a tattoo of the letters "S A M" on her right arm. Morton had worked at Logan’s Roadhouse in Lufkin but recently quit.

The photograph above showing Morton with long hair was posted to her Facebook page at the end of May 2014. The other photograph was captured by a convenience store video system the day she disappeared.

While law enforcement has not uncovered evidence necessary to determine that criminal conduct led to Morton’s disappearance, investigators find the circumstances suspicious. Her family has expressed concerns that she might not have access to necessary medication and stated that her absence from her son is unusual.

If you can provide information concerning Sheila Ann Morton’s disappearance, call Crime Stoppers of Lufkin at (936) 639-TIPS or submit a tip at www.LufkinCrimeStoppers.com. All calls and tips are anonymous and Crime Stoppers may pay a reward for information that assists this investigation.
