Double homicide suspect transferred to Gregg County Jail
Longview, Texas (KETK) — The man accused of murdering two people in a Longview home was transferred from to the Gregg County Jail Wednesday.
Isaiah Christopher Roberts, 29, of Tyler, had been held in the Smith County Jail since he was caught following a multi-county chase, ending in Tyler. The pursuit began after Roberts allegedly shot and killed two people in the 300 block of Thelma Street in Longview.
The victims were identified as Chanda Martin, 38, and Kimberly Rayson, 35.
On Wednesday, Longview Police stated Roberts would not face additional charges on a man who was injured during the shooting. A third person jumped through a glass window at the scene of the murder. Investigators determine he was not responsible for the injury.
No bond has been set.
