ETX duo arrested after stealing big screen TV resulting in high speed chase

Sulphur Springs, Texas (KETK) — An East Texas duo was arrested Tuesday, after a reported theft which led police on a high speed chase.
Judith Ann Debord, 54, and Jeremy Tremayne Shelton, 22, both of Lindale, were arrested after what authorities say was a high speed chase in Sulphur Springs.
Around 11:08 a.m., police responded to Wal-mart regarding reports a big screen TV had been stolen and the pair fled the scene.
Officers located the vehicle the suspects were driving and tried to make a routine a traffic stop, but the suspects began driving recklessly and at a high rate of speed. Police tell KETK Debord and Shelton were quickly stopped and arrested.
The stolen TV was recovered and the suspects were booked into the Hopkins County Jail on charges of theft and reckless driving.
Shelton was previously arrested in Smith County for possession of marijuana, driving while intoxicated and for having an open container in the car.
