ETX man allegedly stabs father, cuts throat over meth

Wood County, Texas (KETK) — A Wood County man is expected to have charges filed against him after allegedly stabbing his father in the chest then cutting his throat over drugs.
On Saturday, officials with the Wood County Sheriff's Department responded to a 911 call inside a housing addition off FM 2869 in regards to an assault.
When authorities arrived, they found a man with knife inflicted injuries to his throat and chest. When EMS arrived, the victim was taken to a Tyler hospital.
Also on scene of the reported assault was the victim's son who was also taken to a local hospital after overdosing on methamphetamine and cocaine.
According to reports, a fight ensued between the father and son over the ownership of illegal drugs when investigators say the son stabbed his father in the chest then sliced his throat.
The case is still under investigation and charges are expected to be filed upon completion.
