The Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office has arrested a Nacogdoches man, Monday morning, after finding a large amount of crack cocaine in his possession.

Sheriff Jason Bridges stated that the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant around 10:00 a.m., on Cox Street in Nacogdoches.
There have been several ongoing investigations into drug distribution of crack cocaine in Nacogdoches County.

Bridges stated they have been investigating the case for several months which led investigators to gain probable cause for a search warrant of the home of Glenn Young, 38. Investigators believed he is a major distributor of crack cocaine.

Upon arrival at Young's home, officials found Young asleep in his locked bedroom. A search of the bedroom revealed 110 grams of crack cocaine and a loaded 9mm handgun. They also found digital scales and over $8,000 in U.S. currency.

Young was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and theft of a firearm.

Sheriff Bridges stated that the weapon found at the residence had been reported stolen to the Nacogdoches Police Department in an ongoing burglary investigation.

Young is currently on federal probation and the crack cocaine has a street value of $7,500.
