Nacogodoches, Texas (KETK) — Two East Texas men are behind bars after they were arrested Friday morning by deputies in separate incidents involving methamphetamine.
According to Nacogdoches County Sheriff Jason Bridges, at around 1 a.m., authorities pulled over a vehicle on FM 225. The driver, whom was the lone passenger, was acting nervous. Once deputies spotted drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, a search was initiated and 1 gram of crystal meth and two bags of marijuana were found.
Authorities arrested Colt Dustin Tinney, 29, of Nacogdoches, and booked him into the Nacogdoches County Jail on one count of possession.
In a second incident shortly after 5:00 a.m., deputies were attempting to find a wanted fugitive on Mckewen Drive. Deputies noticed a vehicle matching the description of what the suspect was known to drive. Law enforcement stopped the vehicle and the driver was identified as Justin Ferguson,27, who was wanted for a delivery of a controlled substance warrant filed by the Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office. Ferguson was taken into custody without incident.
Deputies obtained consent to search his vehicle and located several baggies of crystal methamphetamine. Deputies also obtained consent to search a home where Justin Ferguson is living and discovered additional crystal methamphetamine, digital scales and other drug paraphernalia inside of his bedroom. A total of 16.4 grams of methamphetamine was seized.
Ferguson was arrested on the warrant and charged with delivery of a controlled substance. He was then taken to the Nacogdoches County Jail.
