The Rusk County Crime Stoppers would like to thank the tipster that provided information that led to the arrest of Lyndon Jaye Hughes.

Hughes has been on the Rusk County "Top 10 Most Wanted" list for the past six months.

On Tuesday, September 24th, members of the United States Marshal’s Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force acted upon a tip to the Rusk County Crime Stoppers Hot-line and executed seven arrest warrants in the Sherman, Texas area, on Hughes.

Hughes was taken into custody and transported to the Cook County Jail, where is being held pending transfer to the Rusk County Jail. The charges related to the arrest are Burglary of a Building, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Indecency with a Child.

Rusk County wishes to thank the United States Marshal Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force for their hard work over the last six months and following up on every lead received.

Rusk County Crime Stoppers is ecstatic they are getting to pay the $2000 reward for his arrest.
