ETX man found in woods died of head, neck trauma

The body of victim who was found Monday, in 1100 block of Sabine Street has been identified.

According to the Longview Police Department, the body has been identified as 19-year-old Andres Chavez of Longview and his autopsy report states he died from head and neck trauma.

The autopsy report claims Chavez had mutiple cuts to his head, bleeding from the scalp, skull fractures and brain contusions. It also stated he had neck injuries to the skin, subcutaneous tissue, muscle, airway and tongue.

Around 7:35 a.m., Monday morning, officials found Chavez's body lying outside a car in a wooded area.
