An East Texas toddler has been flown to a Houston hospital after medical officials discovered the child has a blood-alcohol level as .18.

According to Angelina County Sheriff Greg Sanches, the babysitter of the child in Pollok reportedly gave the toddler a drink but did not know its contents. The child was violently throwing up, reports medical officials.

Sanches tells KETK they are currently investigating the incident before charges are filed.

I hope it was an accident & not intentional. The babysitter made the correct decision to call for help. Unfortunately, the babysitter learned a hard lesson that, God willing, won't soon be forgotten. Let's hope the toddler pulls through & has a 100% recovery.
