Former employee arrested after shots fired incident at ETX energy services plant
Kilgore, Texas (KETK) — Officials with the Kilgore Police Department tell KETK, a former employee of Halliburton Energy Services in Kilgore has been arrested in connection with a Monday night shots fired incident.
Chase Alford, 30, was arrested at his mother's home in Coffee City, late Tuesday night.
Around 10:30 p.m., Monday night, Kilgore Police Department Public Information Officer, Captain Roman Roberson, tells KETK a man, now identified as Alford, allegedly drove up to the security gate of Halliburton Energy Services in the 200 block of Knowles Street and pointed a rifle at the security guard and demanded he open the gate.
Alford reportedly then told the guard to leave the premises and he proceeded to drive onto the complex. He drove over to a fracking building and shot his rifle through a few windows before leaving.
Alford is facing charges of aggravated assault against a security officer and deadly conduct and illegally discharging a firearm.
