Kilgore Police Officers arrested two men after a finding drugs and stolen property during a routine traffic stop on Wednesday.

Bobby Lee Hampton, 38, of Hallsville and Dale Schelling, 26, of Longview, were stopped for a routine traffic offense and during the stop, police located 2.5 grams of methamphetamine, a digital scale and numerous small plastic bags,

Police also discovered a forged check, stolen checkbook and debit card, as well as stolen jewelry.

Hampton was charged with Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Credit Card Abuse, Theft, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Fail to Identity and Stealing/Receiving Stolen Checks. 

Schelling was arrested for Delivery of a Controlled Substance, Forgery, Credit Card Abuse and Stealing/Receiving Stolen Checks.

Both men were booked into the Kilgore City Jail.
