A Longview barber was shot  during a robbery of his shop.

On Thursday, at 7:58 p.m., police were called to a shooting in the 2000 block of South High Street in Longview.

When officers arrived, the victim told them he was locking up his barber shop when the suspect pulled up in a maroon car. The suspect, a black male dressed in a ski mask, tan jacket with a hood and blue jeans ran up to him, produced a handgun, and demanded money.

The suspect then shot the victim one time and pointed the handgun at him again, while continuing to demand the money.

The victim said he threw down his money, the suspect picked it up and ran.

The victim was taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries.
