A Longview man has been sentenced to six years in prison for indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Michael William Nall, 30, was sentenced Aug. 22 in the 124th District Court after he was arrested in June for violating the terms of his probation.

According to the Longview News-Journal, court documents obtained from the Gregg County District Clerk’s Office show Nall was placed on 10 years deferred adjudication and since then has violated nine conditions of his probation, including failing to register as a sex offender.

He also failed to make payments toward a $3,000 fine, $659 in court costs, $50 in restitution, a $50 Crime Stopper fee, documents show.

Nall also was ordered to complete sex offender treatment but was “unsuccessfully discharged” from treatment May 5, documents show, and he admitted to having contact with the victim’s family — another violation — by phone, text messaging and in person.
