Longview PD seek man who assaulted, robbed woman in her home

The Longview Police Department is seeking the public's help in locating a man who assaulted and robbed a woman in her home on Thursday.

On Julu 18, around 3:42 p.m., officers were dispatched to a robbery just occurred in the 100 Block of Birch Street. When Officers arrived the victim told them that when she came home she noticed a black male wearing a black t-shirt and blue basketball shorts standing across the street from her residence watching her.

The woman went into the house and went upstairs and said she heard her door close and thought it was a neighbor. When she turned around she realized the man was inside her home. She said she tried to make him leave but instead he demanded money and attacked her, breaking several items in the home and causing her non life-threatening injuries.

The victim was able to get to a phone and called 911. The suspect fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival.
