Longview woman who plotted to cut fetus out of mother gets 12 years for aggravated kidnapping
Longview, Texas (Longview News-Journal) —
A Longview woman accused of plotting to steal a newborn baby — either by killing a mother with a newborn or by cutting the fetus from an expectant mother — was sentenced to 12 years in prison Tuesday for aggravated kidnapping.
Tanya Lynette Bradley, 31, entered an open plea to the lesser charge Dec. 14 in front of Judge Alfonso Charles of the 124th District Court. The open plea did not include an agreement on sentencing, leaving multiple options on the table, including Bradley serving any where from five to 99 years in prison or getting probation or deferred adjudication.
