Lufkin man accused of biting common law wife on face
Lufkin, Texas (KETK) — A Lufkin man was jailed over the weekend after authorities discovered he allegedly bit his common law spouse during an argument.
At around 12:20 p.m. on Sunday, officers were called to the 100 block of Booker Street on reports of domestic dispute. When they arrived at the scene, a victim reported she had been bitten on the cheek by her live-in boyfriend, Demareo A. Robertson, 28, said police. Responding officers stated the woman's claims were consistant with her injuries.
The argument, which led to the attack, allegedly developed from a disagreement over taking out some trash. At this point, the victim said she was thrown onto the couch and bit on the cheek.
Authorities also learned the suspect had oustanding warrants. Robertson was arrested on the warrants and assault of a family member. His bail was set at $2,500 on the warrant charges. No bail has been set on the assault at this time, according to jail records.
