An East Texas man is behind bars after an investigation into the death of a baby revealed drugs.

According to the Lufkin Police Department, Ricardo Macias, 25, was arrested Tuesday for cocaine and marijuana possession in a drug-free zone.

The drugs were discovered while Lufkin police were investigating the death of a two-month old child who passed away two months ago at a home near Brookhollow Elementary.
