Lufkin man robbed at gunpoint
Lufkin, Texas (KETK) — Lufkin police are asking for help in an aggravated robbery that took place on Friday evening.
While driving, a Lukin man, the victim's name hasn't been released by the Lufkin Police Department, dropped his lighter and couldn't safely reach it while driving. He pulled over in the 500 block of Pershing Avenue to retrieve the lighter from the floorboard.
When he raised up after picking up the lighter, two black men were standing on either side of his vehicle.
The victim noticed a red 90s model Pontiac Grand Prix parked behind his vehicle with a third man at the wheel. The man standing beside his driver's side had a gun and said, "Give me what you've got."
At which time the victim handed over his wallet.
The two men ran back to the waiting car, and the trio drove away.
The victim waited until Saturday evening to report the crime. He reported that he was shaken and unsure of what to do about the crime. If you know anything about this crime please contact the Lufkin Police Department.
