Lufkin suspect allegedly chases ex-girlfriend, man with machete
Lufkin, Texas (KETK) — On Sunday, Lufkin police arrested a man accused of chasing two people, including his ex-girlfriend, with a machete.
At around 9:30 p.m., a woman was watering her yard and talking to a male friend when her ex-boyfriend, Mario Limon, 38, showed up at her home. The victim stated Limon started chasing the man down the road with something large in his hand, but she was unsure at the time.
Once the suspect gave up on chasing the man, Limon began running after the woman. At this point, she realized Limon was carring a machete in his hand. The woman began running in circles around a car yelling for help with Limon chasing.
The woman's screams were eventually heard by the victim's daughter inside, who then saw what was happening. The daughter called for help and police arrived to a sweating Limon in the 400 block of Montrose. Following interview with the three parties, Limon was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. His bail was set at $10,000.
No one was injured during the incident.
