Customs and Border Protection Officers arrested a 61 year old man trying to smuggle cocaine into the U.S. over the weekend.

Officials said Florencio Salomon Cervantes, 61, of Las Cruces attempted to cross at the Paso Del Norte bridge around 11:00 am Saturday in a 2006 Honda Ridgeline.

A drug sniffing dog, Shake, alerted officials to the hidden drugs that were found between the cab and bed of the vehicle.

Officers found 14 bundles with cocaine inside.

The seizure is worth $1,175,680, officials said.
