Robby Brian Stevens has already been sentenced to 3 life terms in Upshur County
Longview, Texas (KETK) — A man who received three life sentences in Upshur County for the aggravated robbery of an East Texas dollar store has been sentenced to four additional life sentences for the same type of crime in Gregg County.
County officials tell KETK ,Monday, Robby Brian Stevens, 43, pleaded guilty to four counts of aggravated robbery in the 124th District Court before the Honorable Judge Alfonso Charles.
Judge Charles handed down the sentence of four life terms behind bars.
Those four life terms are tacked on to three life sentences Stevens was handed in an Upshur County courtroom last week.
On December 20, 2013, at 10:39 p.m., officers were dispatched to an aggravated robbery that had just occurred at the Chinese eatery. When officers arrived the victim told police a white male approximately 5'9" to 6'0" tall with an unshaven face approached her while she was at the register.
The man, who police say was Stevens, brandished a weapon and demanded the register drawer containing money. The clerk gave him the money and he left the restaurant with an undisclosed amount of cash. Stevens is reported to have fled that scene in a dark silver or champagne colored four-door passenger car.
After reviewing the surveillance video, police determined Stevens had been in the restaurant a few minutes prior to the robbery, approached the counter, took a menu and left.
Stevens' sentences will be served concurrently.
