Money stolen from elderly ETX couple after woman lures husband into backyard

Law enforcement officials are seeking tips in a case where a duo preyed on an elderly Mt. Pleasant couple and stole cash from them.

According to the Mount Pleasant-Titus County Crime Stoppers, on April 8, an unknown woman asked a man living at a house on the 100 block of East Magnolia for help. The person claimed her dog was in the couple's backyard. 

When the elderly man and woman went to the backyard, a voice was heard coming from the front yard, and the woman quickly left without saying a word. When the man returned to inside his home, the wife told him an unknown man entered the house and walked to the back rooms. An undisclosed amount of cash was reported missing to authorities.
