Nacogdoches law enforcement arrested a local man after he allegedly robbed a Stephen F. Austin University employee.

According to Nacogdoches Police Department Public Information Officer Greg Sowell, at around 3:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a disturbance at Commerce and Church Street. When police arrived at the scene, the victim stated he was hit several times in the face and head area by William Charles Hudson, 59, who then forcibly took keys from him. 

The victim told authorities he was making a pick up at the rear of the Cole Art Center when the incident occurred.

Police were able to identify bruising to his face.

Hudson was arrested and charged with robbery. The suspect was then booked into the Nacogdoches County Jail.
