Tyler, Texas (KETK) — One of the two men accused of murdering a young Tyler mother at a public park in July 2013 are expected to be in court Tuesday morning.
Dennis Bendy is expected in the Smith County Courthouse at 9:00 a.m., for allegedly shooting and killing Briana Young, 20, at P.T. Cole Park, July 30, 2013. Rakheem Goldstein's attorney asked for a continuance, and he will appear in court on May 12 at 10:00 a.m.
Bendy and Goldstein were indicted for the crime in November 2013 and their bonds were set at $1,000,000 each.
According to officials, Young had brought her three-year-old son to the park when she was later caught in cross-fire and shot.
Elisha Williams, who is also charged with murder, was granted a continuance until August and Ke’Avier Jarrod Wilson-Hurd was no-billed.
KETK will have a crew at the courthouse and will update information as it becomes available.
