Pair arrested in connection with Sunday Longview shooting

Two men have been arrested in connection with a Sunday shooting in South Longview that sent another man to the hospital with several gunshot wounds to the torso.

According to online Gregg County Jail records, 19-year-old Davian Leon Hopkins of Tatum and 19-year-old Tre Lee Jackson of Easton were being held Monday morning in the Gregg County Jail each on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Jackson was also charged with two counts of burglary of a habitation out of Marshall.

Bonds on the aggravated assault with a deadly weapons charges were not listed on the website.

Longview police responded shortly after noon Sunday to a report of several shots fired in the 600 block of Owings Avenue.
