Passerby finds body near railroad tracks in Paris, Texas

The Paris Police Department is awaiting the results of an autopsy after a man was found dead near a railroad track in the northwest part of the city.

According to a police spokesperson, the body was found around 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The man was approximately 20 feet down an embankment in a thick row of trees and underbrush.

Police said the man, who was identified by family members as Russell Gage Kennedy, 18, was found by a passerby near 10th Street NorthWest and W. Center.

The body, which was not visibly injured, was sent for autopsy. The investigation is ongoing.
