Two Longview men were jailed Monday night after police said they found an assortment of illegal drugs during a traffic stop.

Three Longview police officers were watching a house in the 900 block of Wilson Street where they believed narcotics were being sold, according to police reports.

The officers said they watched as Andres Frank McEntire, 38, and Michael Edward Sampson, 41, left the house in a red Chevy Camaro. The officers later stopped the driver for a busted reverse light, police said.

Police said they learned Sampson had outstanding warrants for driving while intoxicated, expired driver’s license and failure to maintain financial responsibility.

When officers searched the men and the car, they said they found .9 grams of methamphetamine, .9 grams of crack cocaine, 2.6 grams of Alprazolam, two electronic scales and plastic bags, police said.
