Police: ETX woman attacks family member over dirty laundry

A Lufkin woman spent time behind bars after she attacked a family member Monday morning during an argument over dirty laundry.

At 1:36 a.m., Lufkin Police said they were dispatched to the 1100 block of Ross on reports of a recent assault. When officer made it to the scene, they found two people arguing. They were separated and interview.

Both individuals said the dispute was over dirty laundry. The victim claimed they were hit by Meiosha T. White, 23, several times. It was also alleged the suspect grabbed the victim's arm and pinned them to the floor causing carpet burns on their leg. White admitted she did hold down the victim.

White was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily injury to a family member. She was booked into the Angelina County Jail and released on $500 bond.
