Police seek driver who hit 79-year-old ETX woman while walking, left scene

Trinity, Texas (KETK) — The Trinity Police Department is searching for a driver who struck an elderly woman Sunday night and left the scene,
According to officials, at approximately 10:19 p.m., a call was received reporting a 79-year-old female pedestrian had been hit by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle left the scene of the accident and did not report it or appear to offer aid to the victim.
The woman was treated by paramedics but her condition as of Monday morning in unknown.
The driver who hit the victim was traveling south on Highway 19. There are several businesses with security cameras up and down road and as footage becomes available, authorities hope to be able to provide a vehicle description.
