A man who had been previously arrested for indecent exposure found himself behind bars on the same charge Monday morning.
At about 9:25 a.m., officers received a report of a man exposing himself to a woman on the Azalea Trail. Responding officers quickly found the suspect matching the description provided to authorities, said Lufkin Police Sgt. David Casper.
The alleged flasher was identified as Charles Jones, Jr. Both the victim and a witness stated he was the man who had exposed himself.
According to the victim, she was walking on the trail when Jones rode by her multiple times on his bicycle. On a third pass, Jones had his shorts down and was allegedly exposing his genitals. The victim also stated Jones had one hand on the handle bars of the bike and the other on his penis.
The victim said Jones slowly rode by and was keeping pace with her for a few seconds. The victim became scared and ran down the trail for help. The witness told police he did not see the actual offense, but did see Jones ride by just after he found the victim running toward him in a panic.
Officers also found Jones had an active criminal trespass warning for the Azalea Trail. Jones was arrested for indecent exposure and criminal trespass. He was booked into the Angelina County Jail.
Jones was charged with indecent exposure in March 2013.
