Sheriff: ETX trio responsible for burglaries
Nacogdoches, tEXAS (KETK) — The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office arrested three people in connection with two home burglaries that occurred in July on FM 2112 and Cr. 280. Two guns, military metals, clothing, and prescription medicine were stolen from these residences.
During the investigation, investigators discovered both burglaries were connected and learned some of the property had been moved into Angelina County. NCSO worked with Angelina County deputies to find one of the guns in the city of Lufkin at an apartment complex.
It was later learned three people were suspected of the crimes. The first alleged burglar, Colby Ray Callaway, 20, was found hidden deep in a wooded area in a remote part of Trinity County. Information obtained from this arrest helped in the recovery of a second firearm, also in Lufkin.
Callaway was transferred to the Angelina County Jail where he was booked in on an outstanding warrant for theft. A hold was placed on him for Nacogdoches County charges.
Federico Coronado, III, 35, and Tracy Fourd, 33, were arrested in Nacogdoches County by deputies.
All three were charged with burglary of a habitation. Coronado and Fourd both remain in the Nacogdoches County Jail.
Sheriff Bridges stated that the majority of the property stolen has been recovered and will be returned to the owners.
The suspects are believed to have committed other burglaries and thefts throughout the county. These cases are still being investigated by law enforcement.
