A Shreveport educator accused of sexually assaulting a student was arrested on Wednesday, according to Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator.

Jeremy A. Pierce, 33, of Keithville, was taken into custody following allegations that the Port City Christian Academy teacher had acted inappropriately with a teenage student, who is mentally challenged.

Detectives believe Pierce, on several occasions, texted the victim to leave class and sexually assaulted her on campus. The teacher is also accused of sexual battery while driving the student home.

Pierce was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for aggravated rape, sexual battery and prohibited sexual conduct between educator and student. His bail was set at $750,000.

Port City Christian Academy is located on the grounds of Westview Christian Church on Greenwood Road.

I am a Special Education Teacher. This individual should be placed in the general population of one of the toughest prisons that our country has to offer. Maybe then he will realise what it is like to be be vulnerable and afraid. I really wish he was in China, where he would be preparing for his execution right now.
I would say words about this travesty of humanity, but those words are not for publication.
