Smith County deputies searching for burglary suspect

Smtih County, Texas (KETK) — The Smith County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public help find a suspect allegedly involved in a recent home burglary. Authorities are looking for Aaron Bowers, 41, of Tyler.
After Bowers was released from jail at 7:05 p.m. Thursday on a criminal trespass charge, he allegedly committed another crime within eight hours.
At around 1:45 a.m., dispatchers received a call on a burglar at a mobile home in the 12800 block of Highway 31 West in western Smith County, according to the sheriff's office. Deputies responded to the call and took the victim’s statement.
The homeowner told authorities she returned home to find a man running from her home into nearby woods with various household items. The victim said she recognized Bowers, as he has been in the neighborhood many times to visit relatives nearby.
