Suspect in Tyler gropings identified then cited, released

The Tyler Police Department received numerous tips on the identity of the suspect wanted in connection to groping women at Wal-Mart on Troup Highway and Target on Broadway

The suspect was identified as Chaz Aaron Sansone, 24, of Jacksonville.

The first incident happened on Tuesday, October 22, around 6:00 p.m., at Wal-Mart on Troup Highway. Surveillance video shows the man acting suspiciously. He follows the victim throughout the store before touching her inappropriately.

The second incident happened around 8:40 p.m., on Wednesday, October 23, at the Target on South Broadway, where a woman reported to police that a man grabbed her buttocks.

The man suspected of the assault and his vehicle were captured on the stores' security cameras.

Investigators located Sansone and issued him two citations for Class C Assault and released.
