Suspects in Smith Co. burglaries turn themselves into sheriff's office

Smith County, TExas (KETK) — The three teenagers wanted in connection to a rash of burglaries in Smith County turned themselves into the sheriff's office.
According to the Smith County Sheriff's Office Broderick Darrnell Willis, 18, of Flint, Payton Joseph Raymond, 19, of Flint, and Austin Michael Drain, 19, of Tyler, are now in custody. Raymond and Drain turned themselves in on Thursday, while Willis gave himself up on Monday morning.
Willis was charged with theft of a firearm. Raymond and Drain were charged with burglary of a habitation. Bail for Willis and Drain was set at $75,000. Raymond's bail was set at $100,000.
The Smith County Sheriff's Office responded to about 15 burglaries over a three week period, many of them auto burglaries, in the Running Meadows Addition in Flint, on FM 2493 and FM 2813.
Judge Carole Clark of the 321st District Court issued the warrants.
