An attempted robbery went poorly for a Lufkin robber after a brave employee took a stand Tuesday evening.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m., a Mi Tierra a Mexicao taco truck worker reported to police that a gunman had just tried to rob their business in the 500 block of North Timberland Drive.

The employee told authorities they were approached by an unidentified man at their serving window, and a gun was pointed at them. The bandit demanded money from the worker, but they refused to hand anything over, resulting in the gunman running from the scene.

The robber is described as a tall, skinny white man, wearing a brown sweater, black shirt, grey sweat pants and using a black ski mask to cover his face.

If you have any information on this botched robbery or the suspect, please contact the Lufkin Police Department at (936) 633-0321.
