Lufkin, Tx (KETK) — A fast food restaurant employee was robbed Wednesday morning while she was leaving her workplace with a bank deposit.

At 10:00 a.m., the Carl's Jr. manager was leaving the business, located on the 1300 block of S First Street, when a man snuck up  from behind and grabbed her purse containing the restaurant's bank deposit.

The thief ran from the area before police could respond. He was wearing a grey, hooded jacket and black pants. A passerby reported seeing a Hispanic male running along York Street toward Chestnut Street before authorities arrived.

Officers were not able to find the man the witness had spotted.
