Thieves steal more than $60K in items from Gregg Co. construction site

Law enforcement officers are looking for the person(s) responsible for stealing more than $60,000 from a Gregg County construction site.

According to Sheriff Maxey Cerliano, between 5:30 p.m. Thursday and 7:00 a.m. Friday, burglars pried open a construction storage building at the new Sabine school at 645 Access Road in Liberty City.

The thieves took copper wire valued at more than $60,000 and tamper tools and a laser level, each valued at $2,000. The copper is described as boxed spools of #6, #8, #10 and #12 wire.
