A Texas man is in jail and over 690 pounds of marijuana are off the streets following a traffic stop on Interstate 10 east of Breaux Bridge.

On Monday, August 12 at 5:30 a.m., Troopers with Troop I stopped a 2012 Dodge van traveling east on Interstate 10 for a traffic violation. During the course of the stop Troopers obtained permission to search the vehicle and subsequently recovered 691.6 pounds of marijuana.
