Tyler Police arrest alleged store robber who injured child while running from officials

Tyler, Texas (KETK) — The Tyler Police Department has captured a man who allegedly stole items from a store in the Broadway Square Mall and injured a child as he ran from the store.
On Saturday, Bobby Donell Choice, 44, reportedly committed a theft from J.C. Penny. During the crime, he hurt an 11-year-old boy when he ran from store security.
Investigators with the Joint East Texas Fugitive Task Force located Choice at his home located at 17610 FM 2767 in Smith County, around 11:00 a.m., Wednesday afternoon.
Choice was booked into the Smith County Jail and his bond was set at $100,000.
