Update (3:41 pm Thursday): The Tyler Police Department was informed by the Smith County Jail Thursday that Marquel Jermon Scott, 32 of Tyler, has surrendered to authorities.

Scott is accused of shooting two men, one identified as Keeston Dwone Fields, 26, of Tyler, at the Hyena Club at around 2 a.m. on Monday. He later died at a local hospital. The second victim, John T. Woods, 33, was also hospitalized. He is listed in fair condition.

Authorities issuded an arrested warant Scott Monday evening on charges of homicide and aggravated assault. His bail totals $1.25 million.

The Tyler Police Department has obtained an arrest warrant for Marquel Jermon Scott, B/M, 10-28-1980 of Tyler for one count of Homicide and one count of Aggravated Assault.  Bond was set at $750,000 and $500,000 respectively.

UPDATE (9:28am): One of the two men shot at the Hyena Club in Tyler on Monday morning has died.

Tyler Police say that 26 year old Keeston Dwone Fields, of Tyler, was killed in the shooting.

The second victim, 33 year old John T. Woods, of Tyler, is in critical condition at a local hospital.

The shooting happened around 2:00 am on Monday when gunfire erupted inside the Hyenda club on the 2100 block of North Grand St.

Police are still looking for the shooter and motive. The case is now considered a homicide.

ORIGINAL STORY (3:59 am): Tyler Police tell KETK, 2 people were shot early Monday morning at the the Hyena's clubhouse on 2126 N Grand.

Officers learned that two subjects had been shot at this location and transported to a local hospital.

The status of the two shooting victims is unknown at this time.

Crimes against persons detectives were called to the scene and the investigation is on-going.
