A Beaumont man is behind bars after he led police on a high-speed chase overnight.

Lufkin Police arrested 29-year-old Corey Elray Roberts after reaching speeds of 120 miles per hour on loop 287, just after midnight Saturday morning.

Near U.S. highway 69 north, just north of the John Redditt Drive Intersection.

According to Sgt. Mike Shurley of the Lufkin Police Department, this wasn't the first time Robert's had evaded arrest. He had run from officers in the past and was charged with a felony for evading arrest once before.

The arresting officer saw Roberts hit a fence at Lufkin Industries in his vehicle and attempted to stop him. Roberts refused to yield to the stop.

He was under the charged with felony evading arrest and DUI.
