At around 7 p.m., on Tuesday, officers patrolling the Crown Colony neighborhood were flagged down by a homeowner who saw a suspicious person in her yard on the 4600 block of Champions.
A man fitting the description of the bandit was spotted leaving the Deerwod apartment complex in a car, located in the 100 block of Temple Boulevard. The driver, later identified as Corey Fleming, 41, of Lufkin, was stopped and found to be sweating profusely; his shoes and pants were wet as if he had been running through wet grass and shrubbery and was uncooperative, according to Lufkin P.D.
