UPDATE: Chambers County Sheriff's Office (Anahuac, Texas) notified Lufkin PD that they arrested Daniel Andres Muniz.

UPDATE: St. Landy Parish Sheriff's Department in Louisiana has reported to Lufkin Police Department they have Kristine Maldonado Garcia in custody.

ORIGINAL: Lufkin Police Department obtained three arrest warrants in relation to the vehicle fire and death earlier this week.

Results of lab testing and the autopsy are needed to confirm the identity of the victim and cause of death, Detectives' in the investigation believe Efren Mora Elizondo, 47, of Lufkin, is the victim.

Investigations revealed that the victim's death possibly occurred before the vehicle fire, and that the victim's body was placed in the bed of his truck and the truck was driven to the area of Renfro Drive and Valley Avenue where it was parked off the roadway and burned.

Kristine Maldonado Garcia, 25, of Lufkin, Miguel Hernandez Monsivais, 22, of Lufkin, and Daniel Andres Muniz, 29, of Winnie, are the people responsible for the victim's death and the attempted disposal by fire of the vehicle and body.

Information obtained by officials indicated that Garcia was in Nacogdoches County yesterday. Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office Deputies attempted last night to locate Garcia and serve the warrant but she fled before their arrival.

Garcia is believed to have gone to an unknown location in Louisiana.

The location of Monsivais and Muniz is unknown at this time.
