VIDEO: Organized criminals target Tyler car dealership, $60,000 worth of property stolen

On Easter Sunday, April 20th at 8:30 a.m., Tyler Police responded to the Wagner Cadillac Dealership located at 4100 S. Broadway in reference to a report of numerous wheels and tires stolen from vehicles in their parking lot.

Upon further investigation it was determined that the burglars had jacked up 20 Cadillac’s and removed 20" and 22" chrome wheels and tires from assorted Cadillac models. Management estimated the loss at around $60,000, not including property damage. Carl Shine, Sales Manager of Wagner Cadillac says the total estimated cost to replace the wheels, tires, and fix the damage to the cars and the property will end up being somewhere around $100,000 dollars.

Tyler plolice say It appeared that the criminals were well organized and did not take long to remove the wheels and tires.

Investigators were advised that the same method was used in Richardson, Texas last week where the suspects hit a Chevy dealership removing 29 sets of wheels and tires.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime is urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833). Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
