He started for the Cowboys for nine season.

The veteran cornerback picked off 32 passes during his Cowboys career.

That's the seventh-best total in team history.

Newman had trouble staying healthy.  He got hurt three times in the last 5 years.

Place kicker David Buehler was also cut Tuesday.
