CVS' health insurance requires employees turnover weight, health information

US — CVS Caremark is requiring all employees who use company health insurance to report their weight, body fat and other medical information or pay higher insurance premiums.
The Rhode Island-based company told employees who use the company insurance they must have a doctor record their weight, height, body fat, blood pressure, glucose and fasting lipid levels by May 1, 2013, or pay a higher premium.
There is a $600 fine, per year, for not reporting this information.
CVS says this action is designed to urge collegues to live a more active lifestyle and manage their health.
The company also states all personal health information will be collected and reviewd by a third party and will never be shared with CVS Caremark.
CVS will also pay for all screenings.
