Dad Kills Son To Get Out Of Paying Child Support

January 5, 2009 - 8:16am

A shocking story out of new orleans.

Police say a man confessed to killing his son because he didn't want to pay child support.

Danny Platt initially told cops 3 gunmen kidnapped his 2-year-old son Ja'Shawn Powell Friday night.

Then on Saturday, police say Platt confessed to the murder, leading them to the child's body.

Right now, investigators aren't saying how the toddler was killed.

Following his arrest, 22-year-old Platt told reporters he was sorry for what he had done.

He now faces 1st degree murder charges.

Cant believe someone would do that over money! Thats your child you should want to take care of him. Poor innocent baby. Now instead of getting a real job and paying the money, he gets to spend the rest of his life in prison was it worth it????

OMG This child did not have chance in the world against this dad. That poor sweet child who trusted his father, how could he do that to an innocent baby. He deserves what he gets and he has to live with it everyday for the rest of his life.

I only hope that this man gets the punishment he deserves. The death penalty isn't even good enough for this man. I know god will deal with it. I don't get how someone can kill their own child. It is so sad. What is wrong with the world and the people in it.

OMG! This is a very sick man! How could you? If you play the game you should be prepared to pay the cost! WOW WOW WOW I have heard it all now!
