DALLAS (AP) - Two Dallas officers facing criminal charges for
their alleged roles in a suspect's beating that was captured on
police video have been fired.

The announcement Thursday by Chief David Brown brought to three
the number of officers kicked off the Dallas force over a beating
incident that occurred after a chase.

Officers Paul Bauer and Henry Duetsch (DEETCH') were accused of
insubordination. The department alleged that Bauer used unnecessary
force and that Duetsch repositioned a video camera so it wouldn't
show the beating.

Both are facing a felony charge of tampering with or fabricating
physical evidence. Bauer faces misdemeanor charges of assault and
official oppression.

The officers didn't immediately return phone calls.
